FTP Test er litt som din “high score” i et spill – men her vinner du faktisk noe!

As is the case with most games, you need to earn Your way to the top.

In any sport the same rule apply – talent alone only provide you with a head start.

FTP: Functional Threshold Power (FTP) is a measure of how hard you can ride for an hour – but the test can be done in less time.

First of all, let’s address the elephant in the room. FTP tests are unpleasant. Very unpleasant. Imagine hell and double it. Done properly, you will feel sick. Light-headed. Limbs will tremble. If you’re enjoying an FTP test you’re doing it wrong.

FTP tests are designed to push you to your limits. Be it the full on 60 minute test, the more manageable 20 minute version or the increasingly popular time crunched 8 minute test (Remember the 8 minute and 20 minute test are likely to inflate your FTP score. So don’t get too excited if your Watts/KG is really high unless you know for a fact you could actually sustain this for an hour.)

Benefit: Once done, and done correct, you will have a point of origin from where you can aim at improving Your FTP. The obsession begins in getting a higher “game score / level”.

Outcome: You win in real life and you will feel the progress materialize itself in many ways.

Book an hour to get you set on whatever Your “in real life” goal is.

New to Zwift, just a little out of shape or recovering from injury? This is the social group ride for you. All are welcome to join this relaxed, friendly, supportive, social atmosphere as well as some fun conversation.

If you feel the need for speed feel free to hit the sprints or KOMs, but please regroup after the banner.

Faster riders are also encouraged to fall back and help sweep the riders struggling in the back.

Respect the leader space, this is NOT A RACE! Ride on the Beacon.

Hi everybody!

it is time to put the Zwiftclub Bergen concept to the test!

There will be some hick-ups along the way or not…time will tell.

I have 5 road bikes available in various sizes (size not that important while indoor) but I strongly recommend using Your own road bike.

6 Smart trainers hooked up to Zwift. Some set programs to book, unless you want to try an FTP test to get a starting point to how well in shape you are.

What you need to bring is waterbottle, towel and cycling shoes (Some of the pedals can be used on normal shoes – so don’t invest before you know you like it)
